My Fall Reading List

The autumn season  is just upon us, and undeniably this is the best time of the year for me. While we are still having 100 degrees here in Dubai, this time still brings in cozy vibes for me.

After finishing Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella I am in no mood to pick another chic-lit (you can read my review here) so I am going with a few classics, mysteries along with a few non-fiction books been sitting in my library for quite some time now.

Let’s check what I have picked:

1. The Guest List by Lucy Foley

A wedding celebration turns dark and deadly in this deliciously wicked and atmospheric thriller reminiscent of Agatha Christie from the New York Times bestselling author of The Hunting Party.

2. The Couple Next Door by Sheri Lepana

A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors—a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. . .

3. Rebecca by Dephne du Maurier

Du Maurier's masterful storytelling weaves a web of suspense, secrets, and psychological intrigue that keeps readers spellbound from beginning to end.

4. Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery

Anne, an eleven-year-old orphan, is sent by mistake to live with a lonely, middle-aged brother and sister on a Prince Edward Island farm and proceeds to make an indelible impression on everyone around her.

5. Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell

The novel follows the stories of Miss Matty and Miss Deborah, two middle-aged spinsters living in reduced circumstances. The waters of domestic peace are frequently ruffled by misfortunes and disasters which befall the inhabitants, ensuring the thread of the story is at turns light-hearted, satirical and moving. A delightful and enduring masterpiece, and an unmissable literary classic.

6. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: A Novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid

A captivating novel that unravels the glamorous and tumultuous life of a Hollywood icon through the eyes of a journalist who uncovers the truth behind her seven marriages and the secrets that have shaped her remarkable career.

7. How to be Classy by Anna Bey

A comprehensive guide to refining one's etiquette, style, and behavior to embody an elegant and sophisticated persona, providing valuable insights into the world of timeless class and grace.

8. Big Magic: Creating Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert

From the worldwide bestselling author of Eat Pray Love and City of Girls: the path to the vibrant, fulfilling life you’ve dreamed of

9. The Way of the Happy Woman: Living the Best Year of Your Life by Sara Avant Stover

A transformative book that empowers women to cultivate happiness and well-being by aligning their lives with natural rhythms, self-care practices, and mindfulness techniques, fostering a deep sense of contentment and fulfillment.

10. 13 Things Mentally Strong Women Don’t Do: Own Your Power, Channel Your Confidence, and Find Your Authentic Voice for a Life of Meaning and Joy by Amy Morin

In the time of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement, international bestselling author and leading global expert on mental strength Amy Morin turns her focus to feminism, explaining what it means—and what it takes—to be a mentally strong woman.

11. Autumn: An Anthology for the Changing Seasons

A beautifully curated collection of literature and poetry celebrating the essence of fall, capturing the magic and melancholy of this transitional time of year.

12. Love the Home you Have: Simple Ways to…Embrace Your Style *Get Organized *Delight in Where You Are by Melissa Michael

Much more than décor! This is your invitation to fall in love with the home you have and embrace the gifts of life, people, and blessings right where you are.

I'm hoping to go through all these books by the end of October, but let's be honest - this season is the season to get slow and reflect. So I want to take things slow and easy and might not be able to finish each one of these and that is perfectly okay.

What are you reading lately? Any fall reading plans?
